Rehaklinik Zihlschlacht Neuromodulation Therapie TPS DSC 9650

Neuromodulation Center at Rehaklinik Zihlschlacht

At our neuromodulation center, we use advanced and scientifically proven methods to help people with nervous system disorders. These include repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), which is used to treat neglect - a condition in which people lose the ability to perceive one side of their body or their environment correctly, for example after a stroke. We also offer Transcranial Pulse Stimulation (TPS). This treatment is for people with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. Both procedures are gentle, non-invasive, well tolerated, and can help improve certain brain functions. Our specialized team will provide you with individualized care and use these innovative therapies in a targeted manner.

Nicht-invasiv und schmerzfrei Anwendung der transkranielle Pulsstimulation bei einer Alzheimer-Demenz Patientin

Transcranial Pulse Stimulation (TPS)

Transcranial Pulse Stimulation (TPS) is offered as an advanced therapy for patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer's dementia. It uses targeted sound waves to activate specific regions of the brain and promote blood flow, thereby stimulating cellular recovery processes. Scientific studies show that TPS improves cognitive function, such as thinking, memory, learning and orientation - and has a positive effect on the course of the disease.

The therapy is performed in a relaxed sitting position while a sound probe delivers gentle ultrasound pulses to the scalp. These penetrate deep into the brain where they have a stimulating effect. The treatment is painless, non-invasive, and well tolerated. As a complementary measure, TPS can help stabilize or improve mental performance.

The costs of treatment are not currently covered by health insurance and must be borne by the patients themselves. A complete course of treatment consists of six sessions over a period of two weeks. The price of treatment is CHF 3'000. We would be happy to provide you with detailed information about the procedures and help you plan your treatment.

Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS)

Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a promising option for treating patients with neglect. Targeted magnetic pulses from a magnetic coil placed on the outside of the head can modulate the activity of specific areas of the brain. This helps to reduce perceptual deficits and improve the processing of sensory input. Scientific studies show that rTMS can alleviate the symptoms of neglect and aid in the rehabilitation process.

The treatment is non-invasive, painless, and tailored to the individual needs of each patient. It complements proven therapeutic measures and helps to achieve the best possible progress.

The costs of this therapy are not currently covered by health insurance and must be borne by the patients themselves. The price for the entire treatment – consisting of two stimulations on two consecutive days – is CHF 1,216.00. Our experienced team will provide you with expert support throughout the entire treatment process and will be happy to advise you on whether this therapy is suitable for you or your relatives.
